Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) reported total sales of 1,80,077 units in May 2025, encompassing domestic market sales, export shipments, and supplies to Toyota. Domestic dispatches to dealerships, including light commercial vehicles, stood at 1,38,690 units.

Within the domestic sales, passenger vehicles accounted for 1,35,962 units. The Eeco contributed 12,327 units, while the Super Carry commercial van recorded 2,728 units. The mini and compact car segments combined for 68,278 units, with the Alto and S-Presso contributing 6,776 units, and models like Baleno, Swift, Dzire, Celerio, WagonR, and Ignis together accounting for 61,502 units.

In comparison, the mini and compact segments had registered 78,108 units in May 2024. In the midsize category, the Ciaz sedan sold 458 units, bringing total passenger car sales to 68,736 units. Utility vehicles such as the Grand Vitara, Fronx, Brezza, Ertiga, XL6, Jimny, and Invicto totaled 54,899 units, marking a slight year-on-year growth over 54,204 units sold in May 2024.

Maruti Suzuki also supplied 10,168 units to other OEMs, a marginal decline from 10,490 units last year. However, exports saw a robust rise, reaching 31,219 units, significantly up from 17,367 units in May 2024.

Combining domestic dispatches and exports, the total monthly sales figure stood at 1,80,077 units, surpassing the 1,74,551 units recorded in May 2024. For the first two months of the fiscal year 2025-26, total volumes reached 3,59,868 units, compared to 3,42,640 units during April-May 2024.

Breaking down year-to-date figures, domestic sales totaled 2,80,743 units, slightly down from 2,87,142 units last year. Export volumes increased to 59,130 units, up from 39,527 units, while OEM sales grew to 19,995 units for the current fiscal year to date.
