Tata Harrier EV : Tata Harrier EV Shines in Bharat NCAP Crash Tests: Scores Perfect 24/24 for Child Safety, 45/49 in Adult Protection In the latest Bharat NCAP safety assessment, the Tata Harrier EV delivered an impressive performance earning a flawless 24 out of 24 in child occupant safety and 45 out of 49 in adult occupant protection, cementing its 5-star rating.

Tata Motors’ all-electric Harrier has earned a full 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, surpassing the safety score of its diesel sibling. The Harrier EV achieved a perfect 32 out of 32 in adult occupant protection, outperforming the ICE version, which had earlier scored 30.08.

The SUV scored 16/16 in both the frontal offset deformable barrier and side movable barrier tests, with adult occupant protection consistently rated as ‘good’ across all crash scenarios — including the demanding side pole test. Superior structural integrity and restraint system performance played key roles in this stellar outcome.

In terms of child safety, the Harrier EV impressed with 45 out of 49 points, including a flawless 24/24 in dynamic crash tests and 12/12 for rearward-facing i-Size seat installations for 18-month and 3-year-old dummies. A minor deduction of 4 points came from vehicle-level assessment, where it scored 9 out of 13.

Tata Motors has officially announced the introductory ex-showroom prices for the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) variants of the Harrier EV, ranging from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹27.49 lakh. The pricing for the twin-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants will be unveiled on June 27, with bookings opening from July 2, 2025, via both dealerships and online platforms.

The electric Harrier is a five-seater SUV built on the Acti.ev+ platform and comes with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options, offering an impressive real-world range of up to 505 km on a single charge.
